How we work

From first call to signed contract in 3–4 weeks.

We've made the part you're probably most nervous about — sales, scoping, contracting — fast, transparent, and free. Here's exactly what happens between “hello” and the day we start writing code.

01
Day 0–3 · Free · 30 minutes

Case & Discovery Call

A senior engineer (not a sales rep) listens to what you're building and what's blocking it. We share comparable cases — including ones we walked away from — and tell you straight whether we're a fit. If we're not, we refer you to someone who is.

You provide
  • A short description of the problem and what you've already tried
  • 30 minutes on calendar
We deliver
  • Listen, ask hard questions, and surface things you may not have considered
  • Share 2–3 comparable engagements (under NDA where required)
  • Tell you yes, no, or 'here's a better partner'
02
Day 3–7 · Free · 1–2 working sessions

Inquiry Brief

A two-page brief that both sides own. Scope, integrations, regulatory constraints, success criteria, and the hard parts surfaced early. This document becomes the basis for the SOW — and prevents 80% of the scope arguments that derail outsourcing engagements.

You provide
  • Stakeholders for 1–2 working sessions
  • Access to existing system documentation (under NDA)
We deliver
  • Drive the working sessions
  • Surface integration complexity, regulatory exposure, and timeline risks
  • Produce the brief — you redline, we revise
03
Day 7–14 · Free

Quote & SOW

Detailed estimate with team composition, milestones, dependencies, assumptions, and a fixed or capped commercial structure. Every line item is defensible. Change-request process is in the SOW from day one — so when scope evolves, we have a process for it, not a surprise invoice.

You provide
  • Review with finance/legal
  • Confirm budget envelope and timeline windows
We deliver
  • Detailed SOW with named team members and CVs
  • Commercial options: fixed-price, T&M with cap, monthly retainer
  • Risk register with owner and mitigation per risk
04
Day 14–28 (legal-dependent)

Contract

MSA + SOW + IP assignment + data processing addendum + NDA, all standard paper, attorney-reviewed, and ready to redline. We've negotiated similar contracts with Fortune 500 legal teams — most clients close in under two weeks of negotiation.

You provide
  • Legal review and signature
We deliver
  • Standard MSA / SOW / IP / DPA templates
  • Attorney on our side for redline cycles
  • Most engagements close in <2 weeks of legal review
05
Within 2 weeks of signature

Kickoff & Delivery

The same engineers from the SOW show up on day one. Weekly demos, two-week sprints, transparent dashboards. Source code and IP are yours from commit one. No hidden invoices, no scope creep without a signed change request.

You provide
  • Executive sponsor + product owner
  • Access to systems, data, and SMEs as scoped
We deliver
  • Kickoff inside 14 days of signature
  • Weekly demos and async progress notes
  • Source code in your repos from commit one

No surprises. That's the whole product.

Weekly working demo

Every Friday, a working build with notes on what shipped, what slipped, and what we're tackling next. Async-first — synchronous if you prefer.

CR·

Change requests, not surprises

Scope evolves on every project. Ours is a written CR with cost, timeline, and trade-off analysis. You sign before we build. No surprise invoices.

Transparent invoicing

Milestone or monthly. Every line item maps to a deliverable or named engineer. PDF + CSV + your accounting tool of choice.

Ready to start the call that doesn't cost you anything?

Phase one is free, fast, and direct. The worst case is you walk away with a clearer scope of what you're building.
